We wil guide you step by step in the process of building this blaster.
You can find the KIT in the regular shop.
If you have any questions feel free to send us a message on Facebook or Patreon or by mail.
Note: If you dont want to gather all the hardware or electronics I made two kits available at a reduced Patreon price. If you would like to gather the parts yourself, I will guide you into the
right directions to find them or at least provide you with the right sizes.
For individual parts checkout my hardware page.
When Rogue One was presented at the Star Wars Celebration in London tons of photos hit the internet and it was love on first sight with this bad boy of a blaster. Directly I tried to gather all
the data I could and asked SKylu to design this blaster for me.
He soon came up with a nice model and I was one of the first to release it on the market.
In that time there was only one guy from Belgium who did a rough model by combining the old E-11 ANH version and convert it into his E-22. For the first time things came to me how important
accuracy is in this world. And so I delayed it a bit to not be the first but second to make sure I got more details right. And man even I did a good shot at it , it was not right at all :p My
first attempt was to big and lacked some details, I casted them in resin what made them to heavy and playing with the molds and resin caused me to adapt to a new version the MK2.
The MK2 was more accurate in details, length and was 1/3 of the weight. But the downside of scaling down and adjusting files is that you compromise some things in the process. Being in good
contact with several admins of the Shoretrooper community and with those who are responsible for the CRL and approval I deisde to make a final version, the current MK3.
The MK3 is a blaster on its own, for me it was very personal, I wanted to get this right and I forced myself to learn how to 3D design what was a painful experience, pc crashing, loosing files in
the process, making mistakes and so on and so on... It took me two months to get it to the point I was confident to release it. I had great help from a friend who sent me a ST Sterling airsoft
replica what was the base for the blaster and we pjn pointed every little detail to get the size right.
The only way to get it better is to have an actual original E-22 from the set to compare it to.
Of course me being me it did not end there, later on I added the electronic friendly option and started to add LEDs and even BlastFX to the blasters. I dont know why I keep forcing myself into
trial and error, I must like it somehow.
So the first E-22's I sold months before the release of Rogue One so friends from the German Garrison could hit the red carpet with these bad boys. Now I can say I have only sold 150 on Etsy and
who knows what on my website and Paypal. This blaster is my best selling product and my heart and soul.
When you start to build this blaster you will notice how complex and detailed everything is and when you start to add electronics it will challenge you in multiple ways. But hey its fun and the
results can be amazing. The reason why I share and release the files with you guys is for the simple reason that I want to focus more time on new projects and do a step back on the production of
these.
I will keep building them for clients but hopefully less. Because at some point it caused a big overload on work and almost got me down. So enjoy my blood, sweat and tears of this piece of me,
bring it alive and create that grin on your face when its ready. The grin on the end of a finished E-22 is always what kept me going, that feeling is awesome!
